Leachate disposal
Waste fermentation produces a liquid. The natural wet fraction also in the input materials to compost may contribute to the generation of this liquid.
When it flows out it is termed leachate.
The leachate is collected thanks to the air ducts in a tank, equipped with a lift pump.
It is then recollected to be recycled either into the ongoing batch or in a retention pond.
Leachate stored in the pond may be reused during the next filling of the silos.
